高等教育自学考试于1981年经国务院批准创立，是个人自学、社会助学和国家考试相结合的高等教育形式，是我国高等教育的重要组成部分；在建设高质量教育体系新阶段，着眼构建学习型社会和终身教育体系，满足知识经济时代的社会需求，为我国经济社会发展培养了大批实用型人才。
